Honestly, the first thing that comes to mind when I think "fanny pack" is the traditional family photo at an amusement park that every family has is some hidden photo album. Mom's bangs are huge, Dad looks like he'd rather be just about anywhere else, the baby is screaming and writhing in big brother's arms. Everyone is sweating, everyone is sporting the farmer's tan, and everyone is wearing a fanny pack. Not exactly a glamorous picture.
With the return of 90s "retro" accessories comes the return of the infamous fanny pack, except this time, it's fashionable. It's a new alternative to a clutch or cross body. The fad comes in all shapes, sizes and styles, (most of them lacking the 90s velcro and giant-toothed plastic zippers - thank goodness) and are even being showcased in some of the top designers' new collections.
So, is the fanny pack a solid and fashion-forward comeback? Or should it have been left in the 90s - and in our old photo albums? You decide: Are fanny packs a do or a don't?
